Nigeria’s First Lady urges individuals, communities and governments to work together to combat climate change, protect natural resources and build a more sustainable future.

The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has joined millions of people around the world in calling for urgent and collective action to protect the environment and secure a sustainable future for generations to come.

The first lady made the advocacy on the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, with the theme “A Global Call for Climate Action”.

She stressed that individuals, communities, governments and nations share a common responsibility to restore the environment, promote sustainable practices, safeguard natural resources and build climate-resilient societies.

The First Lady urged Nigerians and the international community to unite in tackling the climate crisis and work together towards a safer, greener and more sustainable future for all.
